Abby Zhou, Franklin HS

"For these pieces, I learned how to do an outline stitch, back stitch, straight stitch, leaf stitch, and french knots. I also learned how to thread a needle and divide threads into separate strands. Embroidery is super fun and I would totally recommend this activity to anyone bored in quarantine."

Keziah Lu, Mountlake Terrace HS

"I’m taking advantage of the time in quarantine by connecting back to my roots—learning to make food from my family’s homeland, Taiwan. This is my favorite dish I tried at the Taiwan night markets. While cooking this dish, I’m reminded of the culture, scents, flavors, and people I love."
